On this occasion, students and visitors to the museum had a chance to learn more about Tet with couplets, peach blossoms, Banh chung (square glutinous rice cake), fruit trays, calligraphy and the 12 zodiac animals. They also learned how to make ‘to he’, traditional toys made of rice powder, and joined tug of war and dap nieu (hitting hanging clay pots) games.
Such diverse activities not only created a joyful spring atmosphere, but also educated the participating children and young people about the traditional cultures of ethnic groups in Son La during Tet, contributing to preserving and upholding the cultural heritage of the nation.
