The Tham hamlet primary school site serves 86 students from the Mong and Thai ethnic communities. Previously, due to a lack of classrooms, the school had to conduct temporary and combined classes, with deteriorating facilities that did not ensure safe teaching and learning conditions. In response to these challenges, the Son La provincial Youth Union connected with and mobilised support from companies, organisations, and charitable groups to construct a permanent school facility for the students.

Construction on the project began in May and was completed at the end of August. It consists of two classrooms with a total area of 70sq.m. The classrooms are solidly built with brick walls, heat-resistant plastic ceilings, and insulated corrugated iron roofs, fully equipped with electrical systems and fans, thus creating favourable conditions for teachers and students.

The total construction cost exceeded 400 million VND (15,200 USD), sponsored by Vinschool Ocean Park, the Vietnam Volunteer Resource Information Centre, the “Power of 2000” Project, and Online Mobile Services Joint Stock Company (MoMo).
