
An overview of the conference.
From 2023 to March 2025, the province recorded 121 traffic accidents, resulting in 67 fatalities and 116 injuries. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, there were 20 traffic accidents involving students, leaving 14 deaths and 16 injuries. The primary vehicles involved in these incidents were motorcycles. The provincial traffic police handled 4,017 violations committed by students, mainly driving under the influence, speeding, not wearing helmets, reckless driving, and operating vehicles without meeting the minimum age requirement.

Relevant units sign a commitment to strengthening the role and responsibility of the Women's Union in ensuring traffic safety for students.
At the conference, participants reviewed Dispatch No. 1524 dated April 10, 2025, from the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee on strengthened efforts to ensure traffic order and safety for students; and Joint Plan No. 94 dated March 5, 2025, between the provincial Department of Public Security and the provincial Women's Union regarding the management and education of children on compliance with traffic regulations during the 2025–2030 period. They signed a commitment to enhancing the role and responsibility of the Women's Union in ensuring traffic safety for students.

In his remarks at the conference, the Deputy Director of the provincial Police urged all levels of the Women's Union to continue promoting awareness among members and women about strict adherence to traffic laws. He emphasised the importance of their role as “mothers and sisters” in educating children to raise their awareness of traffic safety.
