The commune has so far achieved 14 out of 19 new-style rural development criteria, with five yet to be met, including income, multidimensional poverty, cultural infrastructure, health care, environment, and food safety.
It has encouraged the people to focus on developing key economic sectors, pursue the intensive farming of 237 hectares of tea, and expand services and tourism.

At the same time, the commune has assigned tasks to the commune's officials, civil servants, part-time staff, and hamlet management boards to actively and exemplarily lead in satisfying the unmet criteria and targets, such as building bathing facilities, toilets, water storage tanks, and garbage incinerators; mobilising funding from social organisations and individuals to concrete house foundations to meet standards.
