Immediately after its establishment, Division 341B participated in the campaigns to liberate Khanh Hoa and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces in the South. It then continued to serve as a strategic reserve force for the 1975 Spring Offensive and Uprising. Following the complete liberation of the South, the division was reassigned to the General Department of Economic Construction with the mission of restoring the North-South Railway’s section in the central province of Quang Binh.

After successfully completing these tasks, the division reduced its personnel and became Brigade 391, which was officially disbanded in 1990.
