At the conference, local officials reported on tourism development and investment attraction efforts, highlighting difficulties while proposing solutions.

In the first four months of the year, communes and wards organised a wide range of tourism promotion programmes and events featuring diverse and creative content.

However, tourism development continues to face multiple challenges, including deteriorating and narrow roads to tourist sites, limited infrastructure and environmental sanitation at some destinations, a lack of diverse tourism products and cultural experiences, and a tourism workforce that remains largely untrained.

Concluding the conference, Chien urged departments and agencies to work closely with local authorities to continue supporting business households in using multi-purpose land in line with regulations, accelerate investment in tourism infrastructure, review workforce training demand to develop suitable training plans, and step up trade promotion, tourism marketing and the effective management of community-based tourism sites.
