Fruit cultivation has helped raise the commune’s average per capita income to over 45 million VND (1,722 USD) per year, while reducing the poverty rate to 6.2%.

Meanwhile, Tan Lang commune in Phu Yen district has over 150 hectares of various fruit trees, including more than 30 hectares of Canh orange cultivated under VietGAP standards. Annual fruit output exceeds 3,000 tonnes.

The commune is encouraging households to pilot and expand cultivation of high-value crops such as watermelon and melon, while reviewing and replanting 10 hectares of degraded orange and pomelo trees.
