Association of Literature and Arts of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities – Son La chapter holds 7th Congress

The Son La provincial chapter of the Association of Literature and Arts of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities held its 7th Congress for the 2025–2030 term on February 26. 

An overview of the 7th Congress of the Son La chapter of the Association of Literature and Arts of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities.

The chapter currently has 42 members. In the 2019–2024 term, the members promoted solidarity and actively engaged in literary and artistic creation, serving the province's political tasks and enriching the cultural and artistic life of local ethnic communities. During the term, they created and promoted thousands of works across diverse genres. In addition, they won more than 100 awards at national, regional (Northwest–Viet Bac), and provincial levels. The chapter also published 19 books by 12 authors, covering topics such as the collection and study of folk art, essays, research, criticism, fine arts, and photography. 

For the 2025–2030 term, the chapter will focus on thoroughly disseminating and promoting the directives and resolutions of the Party and the State, especially Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people that meet the requirements of sustainable national development. It will continue to encourage and motivate members to create literary and art works on themes such as studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, as well as the country’s renewal process and national defence in the new era. The chapter also aims to improve the quality of training courses and creative camps, strengthen its organisational structure, and attract five new members. 

The new Executive Committee of the Son La provincial chapter of the Association of Literature and Arts of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities debuts.

The congress elected the Executive Committee of the Son La provincial chapter of the Association of Literature and Arts of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities for the 7th term (2025–2030) and selected delegates to attend the 7th National Congress of the association.

Individuals receive certificates of merit from the Association of Literature and Arts of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities Central Committee.

On this occasion, the Association of Literature and Arts of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities Central Committee awarded certificates of merit to one collective and nine individuals for their outstanding achievements in building and developing the association.

    Ta Hoc commune was established via merging Na Bo and Ta Hoc communes. It now has 20 villages and residential clusters, with over 3,200 households and 13,704 residents, including 8,408 people of working age. Most rural labourers in the commune are from the Mong, Thai, and Kho Mu ethnic groups. Focusing on job creation for rural workers, the commune has coordinated efforts to improve vocational training, implement preferential credit programmes for job creation, and connect with enterprises to recruit workers, helping people secure stable jobs and increase their income.
