The awarding ceremony of Son La tourism contests in 2024 will take place on December 30, heard a meeting on December 25 between the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the contests’ organising and jury boards.

In October, the department launched three tourism-related contests, namely Son La Tourism Brand Awards; the tourism video clip competition; and the "Beautiful Photos of Son La Tourism" contest. It coordinated with central and local press and radio agencies to popularise the competitions, drawing a large number of people inside and outside the province.

After nearly two months, the organisers received 659 entries from 73 individuals nationwide for the photo contest; and 39 video clips for the contest of making tourism video clips. In addition, 28 units and establishments participated in voting for the Son La tourism brands.

At the meeting, the organising boards approved the methods and ways of selecting beautiful photos, attractive clips, and typical tourist destinations, thereby contributing to introducing and promoting the image of Son La tourism to a large number of domestic and international tourists.
