Provincial Party chief inspects several projects in Moc Chau township

Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, on March 3 inspected the implementation of several projects in Moc Chau town ship.

Accompanying him were Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, and head of the provincial Delegation to the National Assembly; Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

Khanh and the working group inspected the progress of a main road in Moc Chau township’s center. The project has a total length of approximately 10 km, involving 41.9 hectares of land and about 600 households. As of now, plans for land recovery, compensation, and support for 352 households have been approved. About 31.8 hectares of land have been cleared, achieving 75.8%. The total work completed by the three contractors has reached 24% of the contract value.

The project to upgrade Road 26/7 leading to Sub-area 77 in Moc Chau Farm town (now part of Van Son and Thao Nguyen wards), has a total length of 7.1 km, with 10.1 hectares to be cleared, and 280 households and three organisations affected. As of now, 7.78 hectares of land or 77% have been handed over for the project investor. The total work done by the two contractors has reached 20% of the contract value.

The project to develop the Moc Chau National Tourism Area covers approximately 11.93 hectares, of which about 7.1 hectares need to be cleared, affecting 106 organisations and households. As of now, 4.66 hectares of land have been cleared, representing 39%.

Speaking at a working session with local authorities, Khanh emphasised that these key projects are of great significance to the development of Moc Chau township, especially in terms of organising production and improving living standards, urban architecture, and environmental landscape.

He requested the township to develop detailed plans for the implementation of the projects; assign clear responsibilities and tasks to organisations and individuals, and set clear timelines; regularly cooperate with relevant departments and sectors to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of project implementation; and quickly complete the adjustments to the projects to ensure compliance with the planning. He also stressed the importance of enhancing communication and dialogue to reach public consensus and support, contributing to accelerating the land clearance process to hand over the land to the construction units.
