Seminar promotes entrepreneurship and innovation among high school students

The provincial Department of Education and Training, in cooperation with the Vietnam University of Agriculture (VNUA), organised a seminar titled "The Journey of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from High School" at the Son La High School for the Gifted on March 27.

Attending the event were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen, Vice President of the VNUA; leaders from the provincial Department of Education and Training; and more than 400 students from the Son La High School for the Gifted, the Chieng Sinh High School, and the provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minority Students. The seminar was also connected online to high schools across the province, with over 10,000 students and teachers following.

During the seminar, education experts from the VNUA shared insights about the university’s student entrepreneurship activities as well as valuable information about the workforce needs in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, trends in university selection, and employment opportunities after graduation. They also provided guidance on how to start a business for high school and university students. As part of the event, students participated in the competition "Learn about the Vietnam University of Agriculture."

The VNUA is one of the leading educational institutions in the country, with state-of-the-art facilities, extensive international cooperation, and partnerships with hundreds of businesses in the fields of training and technology transfer.

The seminar, in its third edition, is in response to the Prime Minister's Project 1665 on supporting high school and university students in starting a business by 2025. It aims to inspire, motivate, and share entrepreneurial aspirations among high school students in the province.
