The STEM practice room is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
The STEM practice room programme is implemented in 103 schools across 34 provinces and cities nationwide. In Son La province, it has been deployed at these three schools with funding of approximately 3.5 billion VND (133,652 USD) per classroom, sponsored by Petrovietnam.
Each room has an area of over 90 square metres and is equipped with modern facilities such as robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), smart sensors, and programming tools. These facilities meet the learning and practical training needs of up to 35 students per class, along with instructors.
Delegates visit the STEM practice room at Son La High School for the Gifted.
Investment in STEM practice rooms at schools is expected to create a breakthrough in teaching innovation, shifting from theory-based instruction to hands-on learning and experiential activities; promoting interdisciplinary teaching; and developing students’ creative thinking and problem-solving skills. After the handover, the schools developed plans for the management, use, and operation of the rooms, and effectively organised educational and scientific experiential activities.
