Son La province's Master Plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, has opened up opportunities for the locality to attract more investors, especially in projects of important and strategic significance to improve service and trade quality, and promote high-tech agriculture development.
A high-level delegation from Son La province led by Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, visited and held talks with leaders of Laos’ Houaphanh province in Sam Neua township on March 21.

The Son La provincial Military Command and the provincial Border Guard Command held a ceremony on March 1 at Infantry Battalion I to launch training for officers and soldiers for training in 2024.
In a jubilant and exciting atmosphere, on February 27 morning, localities throughout Son La province held ceremonies to see off new recruits.
