Provincial Party official attends Great National Unity Festival in Muong Chien hamlet

Duong Tu Anh, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and head of the provincial Party Committee’s Board for Internal Affairs, attended the Great National Unity Festival 2025 in Muong Chien hamlet, Ngoc Chien commune on November 11.

In a joyful and vibrant atmosphere, delegates and local residents recalled the proud 95-year tradition of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 – November 18, 2025), and assessed the implementation of patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and activities to strengthen the great national unity bloc in 2025.

Muong Chien has 287 households with 1,330 residents. Over the past year, villagers have upheld the spirit of solidarity, actively engaged in production, and applied technical innovations in farming, contributing to improving income and stable livelihoods. The hamlet currently cultivates 160 hectares of crops, including 40 hectares of fruit trees; and raises 1,279 livestock and 8,500 poultry. The average per capita income reaches 38 million VND (1444 USD) per year, up 3.2% from 2024, while the poverty rate has dropped to 3.13%.

The movement to build new-style rural areas has received enthusiastic participation from residents. Cultural life and social welfare activities have been given due attention, with 100% of school-age children attending school; 106 households earning the title of “Cultural Family”; and 11 art troupes and three football and volleyball teams maintaining regular practice and performances.

Speaking at the event, Anh commended Muong Chien for its achievements over the past year and expressed her hope that local Party committee, authorities, and residents will continue to uphold the spirit of unity, strengthen communication and advocacy efforts, and effectively implement the Party’s guidelines, State laws and policies, local regulations, and village conventions.

She urged the hamlet to continue mobilising residents to restructure crops and livestock, develop household and cooperative economies toward production linkages and value chains, and promote the people’s role in digital literacy and lifelong learning movements.

The official also emphasised the need to enhance the fight against drug-related crimes and maintain public security at the grassroots level. The front work committee was requested to continue renewing its content and methods of operation, promote democracy, strengthen national unity, and contribute to building a prosperous, civilised, and happy community.
