At the working session, the investor and contractors reported several difficulties and obstacles, including challenging mountainous terrain with complex geological conditions. Many areas have rocky or weak foundations, making excavation, ground treatment, and material transportation difficult. In addition, frequent rain and heavy fog have also affected construction progress.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Ngoc Hau holds a working session with units implementing the project.

After the inspection, Vice Chairman Hau requested the provincial Border Guard Command to coordinate closely with relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities to publicise the project’s master plan; finalise land clearance documentation for approving the second round of compensation for affected households; and urge contractors to increase machinery, manpower, and working shifts to accelerate construction progress.

He also instructed relevant units to complete acceptance and payment documents for completed work volumes. At the same time, border guards and local Party committees and authorities were asked to strengthen local monitoring, ensure effective management and protection of national border security and sovereignty, and maintain regular information exchange with the Lao border management forces to ensure proper management and protection of border lines and markers.
