Chieng Di 1 and Chieng Di 2 hamlets have a total of 374 households representing five ethnic groups living together, with the Mong ethnic group as the majority. In recent years, local residents have upheld the spirit of solidarity and strived to effectively carry out the campaign “All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas.”
In 2025, the two hamlets supported the construction of three Great Unity Houses for disadvantaged households. The living standards of residents have gradually improved, while political security and social order have been well maintained.
Taking advantage of favourable climate and natural landscapes, residents of the two hamlets actively protect the environment and promote agricultural development in connection with preserving traditional handicrafts and expanding business and service activities. They also maintain a civilised lifestyle in weddings, funerals, and festivals. In 2025, a total of 286 households in the two hamlets were recognised as “Cultural Families.”
Speaking at the festival, Major General Cuong acknowledged and praised the achievements of Chieng Di 1 and Chieng Di 2 hamlets. He requested the hamlets’ Party cells, management boards, and Fatherland Front working boards to continue mobilising local people to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, as well as village conventions and regulations.
He also encouraged them to promote sustainable tourism development associated with environmental protection and the preservation of ethnic cultural identity, to strengthen great national unity, build civilised residential areas free from social evils, and contribute to the successful implementation of local political tasks.
The leader of the provincial Department of Public Security presents gifts to the two hamlets on the occasion of the Great National Unity Festival.
