This year, the festival took place over two days (March 14-15), presenting a chance for locals and tourists to immerse themselves in a joyful and bustling atmosphere with various cultural, art, and sports activities, traditional games, and highland cuisine, offering many new and exciting experiences.

The festival consisted of two parts: the ceremonial part and the festive part. The ceremonial part was held at the Nang Bang Muong Temple. The offerings were prepared by representatives from the commune and its seven hamlets. They included sticky rice, wine, meat, bamboo shoots, and other items. The worship ceremony was conducted by a shaman who invited the gods of the land, river, and mountains, as well as Miss Ban, to join the festival with the locals, and bless the community with favourable weather, bountiful harvests, and prosperity for the year.

The festive part featured a variety of lively activities, including sports competitions and traditional games such as tug-of-war, con (cloth ball) throwing, and stick pushing, with over 150 athletes from hamlets participating. These events brought in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere. The most exciting was the fish-catching contest, which vividly re-enacted a daily cultural practice of the local Thai ethnic people. Amidst the cheers of the audience, participants used all their skills and experience to catch as many fish as possible.
Visiting Van Ho for the first time right on the occasion of the Ban Flower Festival 2025 in Chieng Khoa commune, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan and her family from Thai Binh city had an unforgettable experience. She shared: "I am truly impressed by the beauty and significance of the Ban flower in the spiritual life of the Thai people here. Not only that, but I also had the chance to taste dishes made from Ban flowers and immerse myself in the lively atmosphere of the traditional games."

Vi Van Trien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chieng Khoa commune stated that in recent years, alongside organising the Ban Flower Festival, the commune has always focused on promoting the preservation of traditional cultural features such as clothing, cuisine, and dance, helping to showcase the local cultural beauty and tourism potential to both locals and visitors.
The Chieng Khoa Ban Flower Festival, with its unique ethnic cultural colours, has left a positive impression and become a popular destination for tourists at the beginning of each year. This annual event is maintained by Chieng Khoa commune to preserve and promote the cultural values of the Thai ethnic group. At the same time, it serves as a key activity that helps highlight and introduce the image of Chieng Khoa - Van Ho tourism to visitors from both within and outside the province.
