Chieng Sang commune preserves ethnic culture

Chieng Sang commune, Yen Chau district houses three ethnic groups: Thai, Kinh and Kho Mu.

 

The Thai Cultural Club in Dan hamlet, Chieng Sang commune, Yen Chau district preserves traditional weaving.

It has always maintained cultural and art movements with diverse activities, contributing to improving the spiritual life of local people. Currently, the commune has eight art teams and three "cultural identity preservation" clubs, attracting nearly 150 participants. Mass performance teams and clubs have regularly maintained activities such as researching and collecting ancient Thai script documents; restoring traditional festivals; teaching dances, folk songs, traditional musical instruments, and brocade weaving to local people.
