Festival of children’s palaces, youths’ centres in the North

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMYU) Central Committee on August 16-17 held a festival of children’s palaces, and cultural houses and centres for youths and teenagers in the northern region in Sam Son city of Thanh Hoa province.

Special dishes of Son La introduced at the festival’s culinary space.

Attending the event, themed "Youths’ aspiration to build the nation," were more than 1,000 children and youths from 26 children’s palaces and cultural houses and centres for youths and teenagers in the North.

The units joined such activities as a regional food festival, a folk dance festival, a photo exhibition, and an art programme with songs praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the country, as well as the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Vietnamese youth.

The youth and teenager centre of Son La province brought dance performances named “Chut duyen tham cua nui” (A little charm of mountains), and “Xuan ve tren rung nui” (Spring comes to forests and mountains) and special local dishes to the festival.

The festival offered an opportunity for participating units to exchange and share good models and experiences in organisation of activities for children and teenagers, contributing to the effective implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National HCMYU Congress with the programme “Accompanying young people to practice and develop skills in life, improve physical health, and cultural and spiritual life”./.
