Firefighting, prevention, rescue skills provided for Moc Chau teachers, students

The firefighting and rescue police unit of Moc Chau on October 7 coordinated with the Moc Ly Primary School in the district to in disseminating firefighting and rescue skills for more than 900 staff members, teachers and students of the school.

 

Firefighting and rescue skills are popularised for teachers and students of the Moc Ly Primary School.

At the programme, the unit briefed participants on information related to firefighting and rescue activities in the country and in the locality; and safety conditions for agencies, units and schools, while introducing basic firefighting and rescue equipment and means. At the same time, teachers and students were also equipped with knowledge on fire prevention and rescue work, risks and basic causes of fires and explosions, measures and tools to extinguish fires, escape skills and responses when a fire or explosion occurs.

Immediately after the dissemination session, teachers and students experienced handling situations such as escaping when a fire occurs in classroom, and using fire extinguishers to stamp out the fire. The programme helped raise awareness and knowledge of teachers and students about firefighting and rescue, thus contributing to minimising damage caused by possible fires and explosions occurring in schools.
