Historical and cultural mural painting features great unity in Son La

A ceremony was held on January 23 in Quyet Thang ward, Son La city to inaugurate a historical and cultural mural painting on Son La province’s great unity.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the historical and cultural mural painting.

The mural painting drawn on the wall of the provincial Sports Training and Competition Centre, located on Street 3/2 of Quyet Thang ward has an area of over 315sq.m and a length of 115m.

The old wall has been painted and renewed with 18 3D murals featuring the Northwest Square - President Ho Chi Minh's Statue, Nam La stream, the cloud paradise on Dinosaur Spine, Tat Nang waterfall, Ma river, Muong Va tower, Son La hydroelectric project, Pha Din pass, Bauhinia flower, Bach Long glass bridge,  terraced rice fields, Son La sports achievements and Vietnam - Laos revolutionary historical relic sites,  Son La Prison special national relic site, monument to volunteer youths, and General Vo Nguyen Giap's forest and the General's Temple. The wall is illuminated by LED lights.

The murals have contributed to beautifying the urban landscape, promoting the province's tourist attractions, and introducing its unique cultural and historical features.
