"Spring Dance 2024" programme shot in Son La city

The Sports Department of Vietnam Television (VTV) recorded the "Spring Dance 2024" programme at Northwest Square in Son La city on November 26.

Attending the event was Tong Thi Phong, former Politburo member and former Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly.

Participating in the programme were 1,300 amateur actors and actresses from clubs and art teams of communes and wards in the city. They performed the Xoe dance of Thai ethnic people, the "Dance of Solidarity", and folk games. In addition, 100 officers and soldiers from the provincial Military Command and the provincial Police Agency, along with 700 martial arts masters, coaches and students from Vietnam International Martial Arts Academy and Vietnam MMA Academy, and Then singing and Tinh flute artisans also joined the event.

The shooting of the "Spring Dance 2024" programme at Northwest Square will continue to spread beautiful images of the land of Son La with rich traditional cultural identity and friendly, hospitable people to friends in all regions of the country and territories around the world.

Previously, the programme was also shot at Dai Yem Waterfall and Bach Long Glass Bridge in Moc Chau district, with the participation of 300 amateur actors and actresses from Moc Chau district and martial arts masters, instructors and students from the Vietnam International Martial Arts Academy and Vietnam MMA Academy. They performed unique folk dances, martial arts, and lion and dragon dances.

"Spring Dance 2024" is a key programme of the VTV’s Sports Department to be aired on all channels VTV1, VTV2, VTV3, VTV4, VTV5, VTV8 and VTV9 during the Lunar New Year 2024. The 60-minute programme will feature stories about examples of high determination and athletes who practice day and night to bring the highest achievements to the country, as well as introduce beautiful, unique images of life, people, cultural traditions, beautiful landscapes, and economic and tourism potential of Vietnam's regions.
