Drug prevention education provided for 750 students

The People’s Procuracy of Region I, in coordination with the To Hieu Secondary School in Chieng Coi ward, November 6 organised a 2025 anti-drug awareness programme, attracting the participation of 750 students. The event was part of a series of activities in response to Vietnam Law Day (November 9).

During the session, prosecutors provided students with basic knowledge on identifying different types of drugs, the harmful effects of drug use on health, learning, and future prospects; as well as skills to recognise and avoid being lured or persuaded into using drugs. They also emphasised the importance of obeying the law, protecting oneself, and supporting friends in saying no to drug abuse.

The programme featured lively activities, including a combination of theoretical discussions, a short play, and the “Ring the Golden Bell” quiz competition, in which students enthusiastically answered multiple-choice questions related to drug prevention laws.

The event contributed to enhancing students’ knowledge and equipping them with essential skills to prevent drug use, helping to build a safe and healthy school environment.
