More than 200 Lao officials, students complete Vietnamese language training at Son La College

Son La College on September 30 held a closing ceremony for the Vietnamese language training course for officials from northern Laos (K15) and Lao students (K23) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, Son La College accepted and provided Vietnamese language training to 39 officials from northern Laos (K15) and 168 Lao students (K23).

During the 9-month study period, the college ensured proper accommodation and learning conditions for the students, while also developing a Vietnamese language curriculum that aligns with the competency framework for foreign learners set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Alongside regular classes, the college organised various supportive activities such as the "Saturday Connection" programme, cultural, art, and sports events, as well as field trips to explore and learn about the local history and culture, helping students improve their Vietnamese language skills.

At the end of the course, the Lao officials and students became proficient in Vietnamese for communication and were able to use the language in their professional work. Al learners passed the Vietnamese proficiency test and were awarded certificates.

On this occasion, Son La College presented the certificates of merit to 30 Lao officials and students with excellent performance.
