Experience in training Lao students shared

A working delegation from the Departments of Education and Sports of Houaphanh, Luang Prabang, Oudomxay, Phongsaly, Xieng Khouang, Sainyabuli, and Bokeo provinces of Laos visited and exchanged experience in training Lao students with universities and colleges in Son La province on September 13.

Implementing the minutes signed between Son La and the northern Lao provinces, since 1969, Son La has helped train thousands of officials and students for the localities at its educational institutions. At the same time, it has issued policies to support Lao students during their study at Tay Bac University, Son La College and Son La Medical College.

Leaders of Tay Bac University, Son La College and Son La Medical College informed the guests about the results of training Lao students over the past time. They committed to implementing their training programmes well, as well as ensuring studying and living conditions for Lao students, and teaching Vietnamese language and majors so that they can develop their abilities and capacities when they return to work in their localities.

The Lao delegation expressed a hope that in the coming time, training institutions in Son La province will continue to create favourable conditions for Lao students; encourage them to strive to study well, fully comply with the regulations of the training institutions, and effectively apply the knowledge they have learned in their work, thus contributing to the development of their homeland.
