The two sides informed each other of the two countries' socio-economic situation, defence-security and important events in 2023 as well as the results of twinning activities, coordination and defence diplomacy between the Military Commands of Son La and Houaphanh provinces.

In the coming time, the Military Commands of the two provinces will continue to coordinate effectively in protecting border sovereignty and security; strengthen cooperation and exchange of information and experience in building the area in charge and maintaining security, order, and social safety in border areas, contributing to building a Vietnam-Laos border line of stability and comprehensive development.
