Lao Ambassador to Vietnam pays courtesy visit to Son La leaders

Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh on February 1 paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Son La province.

 Leaders of Son La province present a gift to the Lao ambassador and the working delegation.

In an atmosphere of solidarity and friendship, on behalf of the local leaders, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong warmly welcomed the Lao embassy’s working delegation and informed them about Vietnam’s outstanding achievements in politics, socio-economic development, national defence, security, social order and safety as well as the border security situation in 2023.

He also briefed the guests on the results of Son La province's cooperation with nine northern Lao provinces in infrastructure construction investment, economic development, education and training.

Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh thanked Son La leaders for their warm welcome and congratulated the province on its all-round achievements. Appreciating the help of Son La to the Lao provinces, she expressed her hope that the Vietnamese province will continue to enhance cooperation with the provinces of Laos in all fields, contributing to deepening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
