The delegation visited the coffee production and processing facility of the Bich Thao Coffee Cooperative in Hua La commune, Son La city; the cow farm combined with earthworm breeding of the Son La Agriculture Cooperative in Chieng Mung commune, Mai Son district; and the mango orchard of Nguyen Ba Tuan in Na Cang hamlet, Hat Lot commune, Mai Son district.

Representatives of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, cooperatives and local households introduced the operations of the models as well as sale plans and solutions to the Lao officials, and shared experience in running the models and assessing soil and climate conditions to serve crop and livestock production.

The Lao side highly valued the methods employed by Son La in agricultural development, especially in the expansion of orchards, and suggested the province further share its experience in the roll-out of the models, while helping the Lao localities with technologies, crop varieties and animal breeds./.
