Son La supports Laos’ Houaphanh province in overcoming disaster aftermath

Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Dinh Phong and a working delegation of Son La province handed over financial support to Laos’ Houaphanh province to help it recover from natural disasters.

The handover was made on November 7 at the Chieng Khuong International Border Gate in Song Ma district.

The delegation handed over 300 million Lao kip, raised by the Son La provincial Relief Fund, to Houaphanh to help it recover from the damage caused by the recent natural disasters. Phong expressed his deep sympathy to Houaphanh for the losses and hoped that the province would soon overcome difficulties and stabilize the lives and livelihoods of the people.

The Houaphanh representatives extended heartfelt gratitude to the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La for their encouragement and support for the province to fix the disaster consequences. They also wished for the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Son La and Huaphan provinces in particular, to thrive forever.
