The college was assigned to provide Vietnamese language training for 135 officials from nine provinces in northern Laos and 171 Lao students in the 2022-2023 academic year. On the basis of the Vietnamese Language Competency Framework for Foreigners issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, the college has devised a teaching programme in line with regulations.

The course members also engaged in culture, art and sport activities, joined field trips and had chances to learn about local history and culture.

Following the course, most of them are proficient in Vietnamese, and equipped with necessary Vietnamese language skills to serve their current work.

At the end of the course, all trainees received certificates of completion. On this occasion, Son La College presented certificates of merit to those with outstanding performance.
