In the 2023-2024 academic year, Son La College provided Vietnamese language training for 265 Lao officials and former students, including 124 officials from northern Lao provinces (K13) and 141 former students (K22).

During the course, the college offered accommodations to the trainees. Based on the Vietnamese language proficiency framework for foreigners issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, it developed a Vietnamese language curriculum in accordance with regulations. The trainees also participated in cultural and sport activities, and field trips to learn about local culture and history.

At the end of the course, they had Vietnamese proficiency improved, serving their professional work.

At the ceremony, Son La College awarded certificates to the trainees, recognising their completion of the Vietnamese language course, and certificates of merit to 43 outstanding ones.
