War veterans of Son La, Laos’ Phongsaly provinces hold talks

The Veterans Association of Son La province on July 17 held talks and signed a cooperation agreement with its counterpart from Laos’ Phongsaly province.

At the talks, the two associations discussed their activities in recent times, and shared experience in carrying out tasks, and organising emulation movements. They also discussed solutions to improve the quality of their operations in line with the conditions and characteristics of each province.

The two sides discussed and agreed on cooperation contents and signed an agreement on cooperation for the coming time. Accordingly, the two sides will continue to disseminate the tradition of the special solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples as well as the collaboration between the associations in particular among their officials and members.

They will also exchange information and documents related to and memorabilia of Vietnamese soldiers, frontline transporters and experts who died in Phongsaly and Laos in general; share experience in supporting war veterans in economic development, and raise funds to help poor members.

They will create favourable conditions for enterprises run by veterans of the two countries to conduct market research, business and investment activities, while regularly exchanging operational methods; and faciliating mutual visits, study tours and experience exchanges.
