Honey coffee processing in the greenhouse of Bich Thao Son La Coffee Cooperative.
Since its debut in the RoK in 2012, IGCA has served as a platform for showcasing and evaluating coffee beans. This year, the competition made its way to K-Coffee College in Hanoi, bringing together top coffee shops and roasters from the RoK, Vietnam, and China. More than just a contest, the event serves as a catalyst for the sustainable development of coffee culture in an increasingly competitive global market.
With an impressive 109 coffee samples submitted, this year’s competition highlighted the diversity and quality of coffee from the countries. Among the participants was those from Son La province, including Bich Thao Son La Coffee Cooperative. The cooperative sent four samples to the competition - naturally fermented and deeply fermented beans, honey-processed coffee, and traditionally processed coffee. These Arabica and THA1 coffee varieties are cultivated under VietGAP standards.
