High-tech vegetable, fruit farming models promoted

In 2004, the provincial Department of Science and Technology has collaborated with many institutes and universities to sign cooperation agreements for developing high-tech agricultural models.

These initiatives aim to encourage smart and sustainable agriculture, optimising vegetable and fruit production in greenhouses and net houses.

Seven models have been implemented in the year, including growing lettuce, bell peppers, golden melons, and tomatoes in net houses; propagating strawberries from tissue-cultured plants; refining the cultivation process for Mau Don and seedless black grapes in semi-open net houses; and applying flowering techniques for Phalaenopsis orchids. These models have demonstrated economic efficiency and are now being transferred and expanded for broader application.
