Son La province re-evaluates OCOP products

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thang Cong, who is Chairman of the provincial OCOP Council, chaired a conference on October 25 to re-evaluate, reclassify, and re-recognize OCOP (One Commune One Product) items.

In 2024, Son La province has nine OCOP products needing reevaluation, reclassification, and re-recognition, along with a new product – the organic green tea from the Chieng Di Tea Company. The products mainly come from the processed food group, including vermicelli and tea. The evaluation, classification and recognition of OCOP products contributes to improving product quality and design, as well as supporting the development of these products in the province.

The members of the provincial OCOP Council evaluated the Moc Chau vermicelli product of Kien Son Co., Ltd.

The council’s members assessed that all the products meet the necessary conditions and standards for reclassification. Additionally, producers have focused on enhancing product quality, design, and packaging, while expanding links between producers, cooperatives, enterprises, and consumers.

The provincial OCOP Council for 2021-2025 recognized all 10 products as meeting the 4-star OCOP standard.
