Son La province strives to have 30 more OCOP products in 2025

As part of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme, Son La province currently has 204 OCOP products rated from 3 to 5 stars, covering five main categories of food, beverages, herbal products, souvenirs, and rural tourism services.

 

The Hoa Xuan dried buffalo meat product, from Son La city, has been recognised as a 4-star OCOP product.

Currently, the districts and Son La city continue to select and prioritise the development of specialty and traditional products, upgrade products with local strengths, and develop new products.

At the same time, OCOP developers are guided to create differentiation, increase product value, diversify product sizes and designs, and update annual regulatory requirements, such as certification of food safety compliance, barcode registration, and regular testing of food safety indicators, to meet consumer demand.

In 2025, the province aims to have an additional 30 recognised OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher.
