Son La’s citrus fruit production reaches over 8,000 tonnes

In the 10 months of 2024, Son La province produced 8,229 tonnes of citrus fruits, serving both domestic consumption and export.

The province now has 4,280 hectares of citrus trees, including 1,896 hectares of oranges and 2,384 hectares of pomelos, mostly high-quality varieties such as V1, V2, Canh and Cara oranges, and green-skinned and Dien pomelos.

These orchards are concentrated in the districts of Moc Chau, Mai Son, Phu Yen, Song Ma, Sop Cop, and Thuan Chau, creating jobs and providing stable income for thousands of local farmers.
