Son La’s fresh tea bud output reaches nearly 55,000 tonnes

Since the beginning of this year, the province's fresh tea bud output has reached 54,957 tonnes, a 4.74% increase compared to the same period last year. This production is sufficient to meet the needs of businesses, cooperatives, and processing units for both domestic consumption and export.

Farmers in Phong Lai commune, Thuan Chau district, harvest tea.

Over the past time, tea growers across Son La province have focused on improving care for their crops, transitioning from traditional farming practices to organic methods and VietGAP standards to enhance both yield and product quality.

Notable tea products such as Olong Thu Dan, Trong Nguyen, and special Shan tea have earned provincial-level OCOP (One Commune-One Product) certification and gained popularity among consumers.
