The commune has nearly 300 hectares of tea, mainly Shan Tuyet and Kim Tuyen varieties. The tea gardens are concentrated in Na Tan, Ta Phinh 1, Nam Tom, Hoa, and Doi hamlets.
Many local producers have adopted VietGAP standards and are gradually transitioning to organic tea production. This year's average tea yield in the commune is estimated to reach approximately 18 tonnes per hectare.
Tan Lap commune, Moc Chau district now has six tea products recognized as 4- and 3-star OCOP (One Commune One Product) items.
