Yen Chau holds All-People's Border Defence Festival

The Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station, in coordination with Long Phieng and Chieng Tuong communes of Yen Chau district, on February 26 organised the All-People's Border Defence Festival to celebrate the 66th Traditional Day of the Border Guard Force (March 3, 1959 –2025) and the 36th All-People's Border Defence Day (March 3, 1989 – 2025). 

A provincial Border Guard Command leader awards scholarships to poor students.

Fulfilling the mission of protecting and building border areas, the Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station has successfully implemented various movements, programmes, and models to help local residents stabilise their lives.

Notable initiatives are "Border spring," "Helping children go to school," "Homes for the poor in border areas," "Border guards joining hands to build new-style rural areas," and "Border lights."

 Border guards and local residents participate in traditional folk games.

During the festival, cultural and art performances, as well as folk games reflecting the customs of local ethnic groups took place. The provincial Border Guard Command presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the “All people participate in protecting the nation’s territorial sovereignty and border security” movement. Additionally, the Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station awarded scholarships to poor students with good learning performances.
