Khau Pum peak, located in Chieng Khay commune, is 1,823 m above sea level. From its top, people can see the vast landscape of Chieng Khay commune and some neighbouring communes.

To conquer the peak, athletes crossed trails and followed the mountainside with increasingly steep and difficult slopes, which challenged their perseverance and endurance. On the routes, athletes were immersed in the beautiful nature of Chieng Khay commune.

With their efforts and determination, the athletes conquered Khau Pum peak after more than 2 hours. The tournament is organised to promote physical exercise at all levels, sectors, units and the entire population, as well as the "All people exercise following great Uncle Ho’s example" movement. It also helped raise awareness of preserving natural landscapes, and promote and introduce Quynh Nhai tourism.
