The football competition attracts the participation of more than 200 players from 20 teams. Among them, there are nine men's and 11 women's teams, from the education and training divisions of districts and Son La city; and schools under the provincial Department of Education and Training. The teams are divided into groups to compete in a round robin format. The top two teams in each group will be selected to enter the semi-finals and finals. The competition is expected to wrap up on the afternoon of April 22.
