The contest took place from October 16 to 26, with the participation of 118 candidates from 37 out of 55 units under the Department of Education and Training. They competed in 13 subjects, including Literature, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, National Defence and Security Education, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technology, Informatics and Physical Education.
The contest featured two parts: demonstrating a lecture and presenting a measure to improve the quality of individual teaching in the workplace.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's contest received many initiatives that show creativity and effectiveness in practice, and meet the requirements of teaching and learning quality improvements. Most of the entries apply information technology and make good use of touch screens in teaching. The contestants were all well prepared, showing professional awareness and a high sense of responsibility. Many teaching sessions and measures to improve education quality were rated ‘excellent'.
Concluding the event, 99 teachers were recognised as the excellent high school teachers at the provincial level in the 2023-2024 academic year.
On this occasion, the provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to two individuals. The provincial Labor Federation granted certificates of merit to six individuals, and the Department of Education and Training presented certificates of merit to 15 collectives and 50 individuals with outstanding achievements at the contest.
