After four months (from July to October), the provincial Department of Science and Technology, the standing agency of the Awards Council, received 17 entries from agencies, organisations and individuals, of which 14 were eligible for consideration for the awards. Among them, three are in the field of social sciences and humanities; two in natural sciences; and nine in agricultural sciences.
At the meeting, council members evaluated, scored, and voted to select works that meet the standards and scoring scale for awarding, scheduled for February 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Cong emphasised that the works considered for the awards must ensure scientific, technological and practical values, be effectively applied, and directly serve the socio-economic development of the province.
Based on the results of the meeting, he requested the Department of Science and Technology to promptly complete the procedures, and urge the council to propose the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee issue a decision recognizing the awardees in 2024.
