Preparations for Moc Chau National Tourist Area announcement ceremony inspected

Trang Thi Xuan, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee, on May 13 inspected the preparations for organising a ceremony to announce the decision recognising the Moc Chau National Tourist Area.

Preparations for the announcement ceremony are being urgently made by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the authorities of Moc Chau and Van Ho districts. Units are installing and completing stages and booths displaying tourism products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) items.

Around 250 actors, actresses and artisans have been mobilised to practice an art programme themed "World's Leading Regional Nature Destination 2023". A draft video clip script showing the construction and development of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area is being finalised.

Son La is also coordinating with the ethnic language channel of Vietnam Television (VTV5) to survey the terrain to organise an off-road bike race; while inviting a number of businesses, newspapers, and television stations to join a FAM delegation to survey local conditions for building thematic tours.

 

The main stage is being set up at May 8 Square. 
Booths showcasing tourism products and OCOP items are being installed.

The Moc Chau National Tourist Area announcement ceremony will take place on May 18 at May 8 Square in Moc Chau district’s administrative centre. Within the framework of the event, xmany cultural, sports, and tourism promotion activities will be held from May 17-19.
