Project supporting children with disabilities inaugurated

The provincial centre for supporting the development of inclusive education, in collaboration with the Son La city Police, the Son La Electricity Company, and the Son La Urban Environment and Services JSC, on January 18 inaugurated and handed over a project supporting children with disabilities, and give gifts to them on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025.

Established in March 2024, the centre started operating in November the same year. It has 20 teachers and staff members, and 30 children with disabilities from Son La city and districts across the province

The youth project “Awning for Children” donated to the centre, covering ​​350sq.m, was built at a total cost of 120 million VND (4,740 USD).

It contributes to ensuring the material conditions for students to study and play in a safe and favourable environment.

On this occasion, the leaders of the units presented 30 gifts and ‘banh chung’ (square sticky rice cake) to students in difficult circumstances on the Tet occasion.
