Song Ma High School marks 60th founding anniversary

The Song Ma High School on November 10 held a ceremony to mark its 60th founding anniversary (December 19, 1964 - 2024).

After 60 years of construction and development, the school now has 32 classrooms, 1,579 students, and 71 managers, teachers, and employees. All of them meet standards, including one doctorate, seven masters, and 60 university graduates.

Over the past years, the school has promoted emulation movements such as "Good teaching, good learning", "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning", "Green, clean, beautiful, civilized, safe, and smoke-free school", and "Managers, teachers, youth union members of the education sector join hands to help disadvantaged students, leaving no one behind"

Thanks to that, the quality of education at the school has increasingly improved. In the 2023-2024 school year, over 44.2% of students demonstrated good and excellent academic performance; and 99.6% of students showed good and excellent conduct. The school won 23 prizes in all subjects at the provincial-level exams for excellent students; 128 prizes at the district-level competitions; and nine prizes at the district-level English speaking contest. All students passed the high school graduation exam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong asked the school to continue with the goals of improving people's knowledge, training human resources, and nurturing talents for the homeland and the country; and fundamentally and comprehensively innovating education and training, and continuously improving the quality of comprehensive education. 

The school should build a contingent of managers and teachers meeting requirements in terms of quality, structure, and qualifications, he said, hoping that students will uphold the spirit of self-study and follow the examples of the previous generations of students in training themselves, striving for high academic achievements.
