The station is assigned to manage and protect 6.89 km of border. Its Party Committee and Commander have regularly practiced on-site combat plans to protect the unit, enhanced combat readiness plans to protect the border, and coordinated with the police and militia forces to patrol and control the border areas.

To ensure security and order in the border area, the station has developed an on-duty plan during Tet; ensured the standards of Tet meals for officers and soldiers, fought against wastefulness, and practiced thrift during the holiday. It has also coordinated with localities to effectively manage and protect border security and sovereignty, and visit and give gifts to poor households and policy beneficiaries.

Xuan requested the Party Committee and Commander of the Phieng Pan Border Guard Station to focus on raising awareness and responsibility of officers and soldiers in performing their tasks; strengthening the capture of the situation at the grassroots level, effectively managing and protecting border security and sovereignty.

They were tasked with closely coordinating with local authorities, agencies and units to effectively perform the task of ensuring political security and social order and safety.
