This year's competition featured 78 projects from 148 contestants representing 42 educational institutions, including secondary and high schools, continuing education centres, and education and training bureaus of the districts and Son La city. The projects covered four main fields: social sciences and behaviour, mathematics - informatics - embedded system, physics - engineering, and chemistry - biology – environment.
Upon evaluation, most projects showed serious investment from students and schools, with solid scientific foundations, and clear research plans and methodologies. Many projects demonstrated students' concern over social issues, the psychology of their age group, and a focus on community benefits.
At the closing ceremony, the organisers awarded three first, 16 second, 24 third, and 35 consolation prizes to outstanding projects. Of them, three projects were selected to participate in the national round, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City.
On this occasion, the Department of Education and Training presented certificates of merit to three collectives and seven individuals for their outstanding achievements in participating in and organising the competition.
