Drug control laws disseminated at provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities

The Son La provincial Youth Union coordinated with the provincial Department of Public Security’s Youth Board, the Youth Unions of the provincial People's Court and People's Procuracy, and the "5 Good" Student Club to disseminate drug prevention and control laws for more than 1,000 teachers and students of the provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

An overview of the mock trial to disseminate drug prevention and control.

At the programme, the Youth Unions of the provincial People's Court and People's Procuracy, and the provincial Department of Public Security’s Youth Board organised a mock trial against a case of enticing others to use drugs with defendants of young age. Through the trial, students, youth union members, and youth in the school better understand the legal provisions, and personal responsibilities in repelling social evils, for a civilised and safe society.

The Youth Board also popularised relevant documents and regulations on drug prevention and control; provided guidance on how to identify some common drugs; and provided knowledge on the harmful effects of e-cigarettes.
